After last year successful concerts in Finland, the Italian pianist and conductor Filippo Faes will be back again to the Festival Lounais-Hämeen Musiikkipäivät which takes place between June and July. APM has been deeply involved in this project and we are extremely proud to announce it.
Filippo is going to play as soloist and also as conductor in 3 concerts with the Kharkiv Opera and Theater Symphony Orchestra and soprano Mari Palo.
It is going to be a great music event! This year, together with Filippo, our special guest at the festival is the Kharkiv Opera and Theater Symphony Orchestra, which will perform in three concerts with a 30-piece ensemble, in Forssa, Nuutajärvi and Jokioinen manor park. In the traditional picnic concert organized in the park on July 1st the orchestra will be led by its chief conductor Dmytro Morozov.
Currently, the main part of the orchestra of the Kharkiv Opera is in Slovakia, where it practices and from where it makes performance trips around Europe. Some of the musicians are still in Kharkiv, where they perform in bomb shelters, metro stations and other public spaces, bringing joy and hope to the plight of people in the midst of war.
