Elisso Gogibedaschwili was born in 2000 in Vorarlberg/Austria into a multicultural family of musicians.
She was 6 years-old when she won multiple frst prizes at the Austrian Young Musicians Competition „Prima la Musica“ both in the violin and piano sections. She won further prizes at the international competitions in Lithuania and in Sicily/Italy. Since 2008 Elisso is a student of Prof. Josef Rissin at the Musikhochschule (University) of Karlsruhe (Germany).
She made her solo debut with the orchestra in 2010 with the Arpeggione Orchestra of Hohenems, under the batton of Christoph Eberle, performing Max Bruch’s violin concerto. She was thereafter invited to perform Bruch’s concerto with many other orchestras internationally, including the MAV Symphony Orchestra in National Museum Budapest, the Savaria Symphony Orchestra in Hungary, the Northe Czech Philharmonic in the Smetana Hall in Prague, and the Symphony of the Americas in „Broward Center“ in Florida, USA.
Her concerts were always receipted and greeted by the audiences with standing ovations. Her brilliant technic, mature and ripe sonority and her extraordinary musicality were highly critically acclaimed.
Her solo concerts led Elisso Gogibedaschwili further to Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, France, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Turkey, USA, Canada, Georgia, Israel and Russia.
Already at the age of twelve, Elisso was a featured soloist in the Musikverein in Klagenfurt/Austria with the Sibelius concerto. In 2013 it was followed by the further performances of this concerto in Budapest, Agrigento, Tbilisi and in Lustenau with the Münchner Symphonikern, which led the critis of the Voralrberger Nachrichten to title the review with the „Fiddle miracle – Elisso plays the home game“.
In spring 2013 Elisso undertook two succesful tours. In Cyprus she presented the solo recital program and in Porto/ Portugal she performed Mozart’s violin concerto No.3 in G major.
In 2014 Elisso performed in Jerusalem and Herzliya with the Israel-Symphony-Orchestra Mozart’s violin concerto No. 5 in A major. This concert led Elisso also to Ravensburg where she also performed Paganini’s Caprice No. 17. In 2015 she few to Toronto/ Canada, performing in two concerts Wieniawski’s Faust Fantaisie brillante and Ravel’s Tzigane to high acclaim.
A new highlight happened in 2016, when Elisso perfomed Brahms’ violin concerto in D major in Tübingen/ Germany and Dornbirn/Austria with the Janacek-Philharmonic. The music critis wrote „Almost a miracle – grown up from the child prodigy“ „Sensational – great performance of the young violinist“ „Virtuosic brilliance and natural sensuality – admiration for the violinist“. Further 2016 she had a very successfull tour to Lancaster/ USA with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra with the Brahms‘ violin concert.
2017 Elisso had a big performance with the Mendelssohn violin concert e-minor in Fribourg /Suisse in the Théatre Equilibre. In spring she went again on tour to Toronto/ Canada where she permormed in the centre for the arts Sarasate „Fantasia sur Carmen“, and Tschaikowski „Souvenir d’un lieu cher“.
Elisso Gogibedaschwili plays a violin made by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume in 1849.
At the moment she is studying at the Bundesgymnasium in Feldkirch. Besides this, Elisso is a student at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe. Thanks to her multiethnic heritage, Elisso speaks several languages fuently: German and English but also also Chinese, Georgian, Russian and French.
